Christus Nóbrega, artist and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Visual Arts (VIS), Institute of Arts (IdA), University of Brasília (UnB). PhD and Master in Contemporary Art by UnB. Teaches and guides in the Postgraduate courses in Arts and Design of the same institution, Christus Nóbrega has been participating regularly in national and international exhibitions. He has works in collections and private and institutional collections, such as the Fondation Cartier - Paris and at the Rio Art Museum (MAR) - Rio de Janeiro. Author of books and scientific articles in the area of arts and art / education. Awarded by the Petrobras Cultural Program (2004 and 2011) and by the Museu da Casa Brasileira (2004). In 2015, he represented Brazil in China through the Artistic Residency Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, at the Chinese university Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA).

Statement

Artist and teacher of the Fine Arts Department of the Art Institute of the Universidade de Brasília, Christus Nóbrega has a doctorate and a masters in Contemporary Art from the same institution that now he is a teacher. Christus is a regular figure in the art scene in Brazil, with his works being part of domestic and international exhibitions. Their works also integrate great institutions and private collections such as Fondation Cartier, in Paris and Museu de Arte do Rio, in Rio de Janeiro. Author of various books and scientific articles, Christus won the Petrobrás Cultural Program in 2004 and 2011. In 2015, represented Brazil in China in an artistic residence at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.
