Statement

There comes a time when the painter surrenders and enters the flow of the painting. The painting communicates directly with the painter and the painter answers directly to the painting. [...] The painting is vital. It’s no wonder that Picasso used to say that the painting is only ready when it’s breathing. The painter deals with pictorial issues until his painting becomes alive, becomes something concrete, that touches the viewer.
